Kids Ice Fishing Day
KIDS ICE FISHING DAY SCHEDULED FOR JAN. 24, 2026 CANCELLED
Because of the severely cold forecasted temperatures for Saturday, we believe it would be dangerous for children to be out on the ice, and thus we have to cancel Kids Ice Fishing Day for 2026. We’re sorry to have to do this, and we greatly appreciate your interest in the event! We look forward to seeing you at Kids Ice Fishing Day in January 2027!
Brittingham Park, Madison, Wisconsin (near Park St. and W Washington Ave)
Every winter the club sponsors this event, where like the summer Kids Fishing Day we give away free ice fishing rods and reels, and a free lunch of hot dogs and beverage. This event will take place regardless of the weather. If the ice is less than six inches thick all activities will be held on land at the shelter.
